A bit about me and this page

Hi! I’m Carolyn and I have had some incredible opportunities to travel to wonderful places so I am sharing my experiences with you! I hope to inspire you to go new places, and to give recommendations like I would to my friends asking. I tend to travel to places that have historic significance, lots of charm, and the best luxury I can get for my budget. I also tend to do something involving horses on my trip. 

I love to research the places I’m going to make sure I am staying at the cutest hotel, in the best location and have at least a few restaurant reservations, I also like having the right outfit for every occasion so you will see some packing and outfit inspiration on here as well!  If that sounds anything like yourself, I think you’ll enjoy this blog.

I believe when you meet locals and experience something you have a better understanding of where you’re visiting, so a lot of my travels will include an opportunity to meet locals, such as scuba diving, riding horses (my other passion) or meeting a local guide to show me the area. This helps you get a better idea of the true culture of the place, and then you make friends you can revisit!

I grew up in a very small town in Wisconsin but was lucky to have parents that made a point to let us see other parts of the country and the world. I eventually went to the University of Colorado at Boulder where I met friends from all over the world and got to experience so many new things and ski as much as we wanted. I am still based in Colorado where I work mostly remotely in sales for a fuel additive company that reduces emissions (We’re trying to save the world!). This job allows me huge flexibility and I am so grateful for that. 

When I am not working or planning my next trip, I love to do yoga, snowboard/ski, cook, and ride horses.  I hope you enjoy some of my tips and please feel free to drop me an email or DM on Instagram, I love talking about travel and meet other people who do too!
